PATHWAYS
A hands-on event connecting students to union careers.
About
Pathways is a program designed to introduce high school students to rewarding career pathways in the union trades. This event gives students the chance to meet directly with local unions and training programs, ask questions, and learn about good-paying, high-quality careers that don’t require a four-year degree.
The event includes a panel of union leaders and workers who will share their stories, answer questions, and talk about how to get started.
Goals of the Pathways Program
1. Increase Awareness
Students gain exposure to union careers and apprenticeship pathways they may not have known about.
2. Build Understanding
Students walk away with a clearer idea of what apprenticeships are, how unions work, and what steps they can take to pursue these careers.
3. Expand Access
Students, especially those from underrepresented communities, feel empowered and equipped to pursue high-quality, non-college career pathways
4. Strengthen Union-School Partnerships
Local unions and apprenticeship programs build meaningful connections with students and schools.
